James West spent the first decade of his career working inside two of Los Angeles's most respected private brokerage firms, learning the market not from the outside, but from within the rooms where decisions were made. He advised families through generational transitions, represented buyers who required complete confidentiality, and built relationships with the architects, attorneys, and estate managers who shape this market long before a property ever changes hands.

In 2014, he founded West & Stone with a deliberate choice: fewer clients, deeper counsel. The firm does not operate on volume. It operates on trust, the kind that takes years to earn and is never taken for granted.

Today James represents a select group of principals across Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Malibu, and the desert communities of Arizona. Many clients have worked with him across multiple transactions, across a decade or more. That continuity is the thing he is most proud of.
